Classical Jordan
Day 1: Airport – Amman
Upon arrival at Queen Alia Airport, our chauffeur will meet you and drive you to your hotel in Amman for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Amman – Umm Qais – Ajloun – Jerash – Amman
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Umm Qais, which offers magnificent views over the Yarmouk River, the Golan Heights, and Lake Tiberias. This town was known as Gadara, one of the most brilliant ancient Greco-Roman cities of the Decapolis.
Then proceed to the mighty Crusader Castle of Ajloun. Continue through pine forests and olive groves to the fascinating Greco-Roman city of Jerash. A guide will take you on a tour through the colonnaded street, amphitheater, churches, temples, and the vast Roman Forum. Return to your hotel in Amman for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Amman City Tour – Desert Castles – Amman
After breakfast, proceed on an Amman city tour to visit the King Abdullah Mosque, the Roman Amphitheater, and the Citadel. Then continue to the Desert Castles to explore three remarkable examples of Islamic art and architecture: Azraq Fort, Qusayr Amra, and Qasr Kharaneh. Return to Amman for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Amman – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Kerak – Petra
After breakfast, depart for a journey south of Amman. Visit Madaba, home to some of the finest Byzantine mosaics in the world, including the famous 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Continue to Mount Nebo, the highest point in the Moabite range, which has been a center of pilgrimage since early Christian times.
Then drive through the awe-inspiring Wadi Mujib via the King’s Highway to Kerak Castle, the largest late Islamic castle in Jordan. It was initially constructed during the Crusader period and later expanded and refortified during the Ayyubid and Mamluk periods. Continue to Petra for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Petra Visit
After breakfast, visit the Red Rose City of Petra. Upon arrival, begin an unforgettable trip on horseback to the Siq, followed by a walk through the narrow passage between massive rock walls that provides the main entrance to the ancient site.
Enter Petra through this chasm until you reach your first glimpse of the Treasury, whose towering façade, adorned with magnificent columns, was made famous in the final sequence of the popular Hollywood film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Overnight stay in Petra.
Day 6: Petra – Little Petra – Wadi Rum
After breakfast, drive to Little Petra (Al-Beidha), located 8 km from Petra. The ruins of this ancient village date back around 9,000 years and, like Jericho, constitute one of the oldest archaeological sites in the Middle East. Continue to Wadi Rum, the largest and most magnificent desert in Jordan. Enjoy a 2-hour 4x4 tour in the desert, then proceed to the campsite for dinner and an overnight stay under a tent beneath the beautiful starry sky.
Day 7: Wadi Rum – Aqaba
After breakfast, drive south to the Red Sea city of Aqaba. Enjoy free time at leisure. Overnight stay in Aqaba.
Day 8: Aqaba – Dead Sea – Amman
After breakfast, drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Enjoy swimming in its buoyant waters and experiencing the famous mineral-rich mud. Return to Amman for an overnight stay.
Day 9: Amman – Queen Alia Airport
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for departure.

In Petra, an English-speaking local private guide is available for 2–3 hours, covering the lower parts of the site. Afterward, you may explore additional areas such as the Royal Tombs or the Monastery on your own. A horse ride from the Visitor Center to the Siq (800 m) is included in the entrance ticket; however, a tip for the horse handler is usually expected.
In Wadi Rum, 4x4 vehicles are basic and operated by local Bedouin associations. Please note that this is the only available mode of transportation to explore the desert.
A visa to Jordan is available on arrival for most nationalities at an additional cost per person. Please contact us for further details.
The rate is valid for a minimum of 2 persons. The tour is private and can start on any day of the week.
