Jordan Adventure Tour

Day 1: Q. A. Airport – Amman

Upon arrival at Queen Alia Airport, our chauffeur will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Amman. Overnight in Amman.

Day 2: Amman – Ajloun

After breakfast, drive to Ajloun Forest Reserve for hiking along the Village Orchards Tour / Orjan Trail. Overnight in Ajloun Cabins.

Village Orchards Tour / Orjan Trail: 12 km, approximately 6 hours. This trail passes through evergreen oak forests and lush orchards. Along the way, stop at a local soap workshop, visit the village spring, and enjoy a traditional homemade brunch. Return to the reserve by bus. (Guided only, available year-round depending on weather conditions.)

Day 3: Ajloun – Jerash – Desert Castles – Azraq

After breakfast, drive to the fascinating Greco-Roman city of Jerash. Your guide will take you on a tour through the colonnaded street, amphitheater, churches, temples, and the vast Roman Forum.

Continue to the Desert Castles to visit three remarkable examples of Islamic art and architecture: Azraq Fort, Qusayr Amra, and Qasr Kharaneh. Overnight at Azraq Lodge.

Day 4: Azraq – Mujib Hike – Dana

Early morning birdwatching and buffalo spotting at Azraq Wetland Reserve, followed by the Marsh Trail. Then continue to the Mujib Biosphere Reserve for hiking.

Choose between:

Siq Trail (April – October)

Ibex Trail (November – March)

Continue to Dana Biosphere Reserve for an overnight stay.

Marsh Trail: Round trip, 1.5 km. Guided or self-guided. This easy trail introduces you to the Azraq Wetland Reserve. A boardwalk leads through wet and dry areas to a viewing platform overlooking artesian pools. The trail also passes an ancient basalt wall and a bird hide where migratory birds and water buffalo may be observed.

Siq Trail: Unguided, approx. 3 hours. A moderate hike through the Mujib River gorge, following a walkway and river path between sandstone cliffs to a waterfall. Swimming may be possible depending on water levels. (Available April 1 – October 30.)

Ibex Trail: Guided, 3–4 hours. Begins near the Mujib Bridge and ascends into the reserve with stunning views of the Dead Sea. Includes an optional detour to Qasr Riyashi ruins. Wildlife sightings may include Nubian ibex. (Available November – March.)

Day 5: Dana Biosphere Reserve – Feynan Eco Lodge

After breakfast, enjoy a self-guided hike along the Wadi Dana Trail to Feynan. Overnight at Feynan Eco Lodge.

Wadi Dana Trail: Distance: 14 km | Duration: 5–7 hours. A scenic downhill hike through sandstone gorges from Dana to Feynan.

Day 6: Feynan – Petra

After breakfast, hike in Dana Reserve along the Wadi Ghwair Trail Sampler. Continue to Petra for an overnight stay.

Wadi Ghwair Trail Sampler: Easy trail, 8 km, 3–4 hours. Starts from the lodge and passes Khirbet Feynan (a Byzantine site), continuing along a riverbed toward Wadi Ghweir. A short canyon excursion may be included (guided only, September 1 – June 30).

Day 7: Petra – First Day Visit

After breakfast, explore the Red Rose City of Petra. Begin with an optional horseback ride, followed by a walk through the Siq — a narrow gorge leading to the ancient city.

At the end of the Siq, you will see the iconic Treasury, famous from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Overnight in Petra.

Suggested Program:

Al-Siq, Treasury, Street of Facades, Theater, Royal Tombs, City Center, Qasr Al-Bint Temple, Al-Habees Museum, Petra Archaeological Museum, Al-Deir (Monastery), and return.

Day 8: Petra – Second Day Visit

Continue exploring Petra.

Suggested Program:

Al-Siq, Treasury, High Place of Sacrifice, Lion Monument, Garden Temple Complex, Triclinium, Renaissance Tomb, Broken Pediment Tomb, Roman Soldier Tomb, and return.

Day 9: Petra – Wadi Rum Hiking

After breakfast, drive to Wadi Rum, Jordan’s most magnificent desert. Begin a guided Bedouin hiking tour starting from Wadi Rum Village.

Visit the Nabataean Temple, Lawrence Spring, and Khazali Canyon. Enjoy lunch with Bedouin tea, followed by relaxation. Continue hiking to the campsite. Enjoy sunset views. Overnight in a tent.

Day 10: Wadi Rum Hiking

After breakfast, hike with your guide to Um Frouth Rock Bridge, including a short climb. Later, take a break for lunch.

Continue to the Little Bridge before returning to camp to enjoy another sunset. Overnight in a tent.

Day 11: Wadi Rum – Dead Sea

After breakfast, drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. Enjoy floating in its buoyant waters and experiencing the mineral-rich mud. Overnight at the Dead Sea.

Day 12: Dead Sea – Q. A. Airport

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for departure.
