Day 1 Q.An Airport - Amman
Upon arrival at Queen Alia Airport, our chauffeur will meet you and drive you to the hotel in Amman overnight.
Day 2 Amman - Jerash - Ajloun - Anjara - Amman
After breakfast at the hotel drive to the fascinating Greco-Roman city of Jerash. Our guide will take you for a tour through the colonnaded street, amphitheater, churches, temples, and the vast Roman Forum. By the middle of the 5th century, Christianity had become the major religion of the region, and numerous churches were constructed in Jerash. Many churches were constructed of stones taken from pagan temples - and the remains of several can be seen today.
Continue to the Castle of Ajoun and to Anjara, where it is believed that Jesus Christ, his disciples, and the Virgin Mary, passed through Anjara once and rested in a cave there during a journey between the Sea of Galilee, the Decapolis cities, Bethany Beyond the Jordan and Jerusalem.
The cave-in Anjara has long been a holy place for pilgrims and has now been commemorated with a modern shrine, the Church of Our Lady of the Mountain. The cave was also designated by the Catholic Churches of the Middle East as one of the five pilgrimage sites for the year 2000. Back to hotel in Amman for overnight.
Day 3 Amman – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Mukawir – Um Alrasas – Petra
Breakfast at the hotel, then departure for a journey to the south of Amman, visit Madaba, which has some of the finest Byzantine mosaics in the world including the famous 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy land and Mount Nebo, the highest in the Moabit range which has been a center for pilgrimages since earliest Christian times Continue to Mukawir, palace/fort of Herod, who was the Roman-appointed ruler over the region during the life of Jesus Christ.
It was here, at this hilltop fortified palace, overlooking the Dead Sea region and the distant hills of Palestine and Israel that Herod Antipas, the son of Herod, imprisoned and beheaded John the Baptist after Salome’s fateful dance. Afterward continue to Um Alrasas where the main attraction is the newly unearthed Church of St. Stephen with its perfectly preserved remarkable mosaic floor, the largest one in Jordan.
It contains the images and portraits of 27 Old and New Testament cities of the Holy Land from both east and west of the Jordan River and of Egypt, making it a discovery second only to the Mosaic Map of Madaba. Continue to Petra overnight.
Day 4 Petra visit
After breakfast, tour the Red Rose city Petra. Upon arrival, you will begin an unforgettable trip on horseback to the Siq after by foot through the narrow passage between the massive walls of rock that provides the main access to the ancient site. Entering Petra through this chasm till we reach our first glimpse of the Treasury, whose towering façade bedecked with magnificent columns was made famous in the final sequence of the popular Hollywood film /Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade/. Overnight at Petra.
Day 5 Petra – Bethany – the Dead Sea – Amman
After breakfast drive to the lowest point on Earth the Dead Sea, enjoy swimming in the buoyant waters, and get covered in mud. First, we will view the famous rock statue of Lot's wife. It is said that while fleeing the villages of Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot’s wife ignored the warning not to look back and was turned into a pillar of salt, then continue to visit Baptism Site, the site where Jesus was baptized by John Baptist. Drive to Amman overnight.
Day 6 Amman – Q. A. Airport
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for departure.

*In Petra English speaking local private guide is available for 2-3 hours, who covers lower parts of Petra, afterwards you can explore by yourselves more sites such as Royal Tombs or Monastery. A horse ride from the Visitor’s Center to the Siq (800 m) is included in the entrance ticket to Petra so if you wish you can take it. Usually, you are requested to pay a tip for a man leading the horse.

In Bethany, the shuttle bus and audio guide (available in 7 languages) are included in the entrance fees.
Rate is valid for a minimum of 2 persons. Tour is on a private basis starting any day of the week.
